Dolce Amor

Dulce Amor {sweet love}!

**********

A love story can’t get much sweeter than this one and I’d like you to meet Hayley & Octavio. Their romance began in Puerto Vallarta while Hayley was vacationing with her family at the resort where Octavio worked as one of the main show performers (a very good one I might add). Although their initial encounter didn’t seem like a big deal at the time, when the family returned to the same resort the following year, Octavio was still there and oh he’d remembered the adorably sweet, petite blond from Canada.  And clearly Hayley’s first impression of  the handsome young Mexican also ’stuck like glue’. Then the magic really began to fly back and forth across the miles, soon leading to their engagement and plans for a wedding in Canada.

The grand event was set for September 11 (2009) and I was thrilled when Hayley & her Mom gave me the thumbs up to do the flowers. It was just such an extra special time for this lovely young lady & her sweetheart. In fact, about two weeks before the big day when Hayley came by to finalize her flowers, Octavio was by her side tightly holding her hand. She VERY proudly introduced her fiance and they both had those ’we’re madly in love’ expressions written all over their faces. How could I not be excited for them too? It was just so contagious!

This ‘dreamy white’ bouquet of fluffy hydrangeas, Asiatic lilies, freesias and gerbera daisies with some ‘glitz in their eyes’ was so perfect for Hayley - the picture of youthful innocence, yet elegant beauty on her much dreamed of day!

Yellow gerberas & freesia added bright, cheerful bursts of color to the rich chocolate brown theme of the event.

Muy bonita {very pretty}!

A local park provided a super natural setting for photos and the ceremony under a big ol’ tree at the edge of a pond. Large white paper lanterns suspended from branches overhead lent a touch of whimsy to the tranquil scene, and the weather was in perfect harmony with this made-to-order wedding day.

‘Just married’ under the big ol’ tree!

A photo shoot on the beach in the late afternoon sun added to the magic of the day, and this little ‘ray of sunshine’ is absolutely gorgeous under her parasol.  I luuuv this image of Hayley!

There was a second wedding celebration for the newlyweds in Puerto Vallarta a few months later – Mexican fiesta style. Those lucky ducks! But there were a couple of temporary separations for the love birds during the first several months of wedded bliss before Octavio could return to Canada & be with his new bride on a more permanent basis. Being able to finally settle here together has been terrific, especially with the addition of a baby girl this year (2011) June. She is precious!

The words from a song say it so well for these two - “They didn’t have you where I come from. Never knew the best was yet to come.”

The gorgeous natural setting for Hayley & Octavio’s ceremony was in Campbell Valley Park (Langley, BC). The beach shots were at Crescent Beach in White Rock. And their amazing photographs were done by Just Shoot Me Photo.

Hayley & Octavio, I was so pleased to be a part of your day (& a bit of your sweet love story) through the beauty of flowers. Wishing you tons of love & happines {Deseandoles toneladas del amor y la felicidad}!    B&B
